If you are experiencing a draft from your fireplace (even while it is running) this may be due to poor chase insulation allowing air to penetrate through the outside wall behind your fireplace. Our insulation service may help reduce the draft as well as increase efficiency in your homes heating and cooling. We install R-13 fiberglass insulation between the wall cavities, as needed and install “Reflectix” reflective aluminum blanket Insulation as a vapor and airflow barrier on all interior surfaces. This assembly equals a total Insulation value of R-16 to the fireplace chase and provides a wind resistant barrier for your home.

As a service and repair company, fireplace replacement tends to be the last resort; but as fireplaces throughout northern Virginia continue to age we are seeing a trend of needed replacements. Whether it’s due to severe damage or simply a matter of unavailable parts, sometimes replacing your fireplace is the only answer and we are prepared to meet it. When it is time to have your fireplace replaced, we take the time to inspect your existing fireplace to determine what options best fit your expectations. Once your new fireplace is delivered to us we schedule a time to have it installed, in most cases the project can be completed within a day’s time.
