If you are experiencing a draft from your fireplace (even while it is running) this may be due to poor chase insulation allowing air to penetrate through the outside wall behind your fireplace. Our insulation service may help reduce the draft as well as increase efficiency in your homes heating and cooling. We install R-13 fiberglass insulation between the wall cavities, as needed and install “Reflectix” reflective aluminum blanket Insulation as a vapor and airflow barrier on all interior surfaces. This assembly equals a total Insulation value of R-16 to the fireplace chase and provides a wind resistant barrier for your home.
